Where the locals go...

by sj
(palo alto, ca)

Kamuela Deli Kona Coast Shopping Center. Don't let the name full you, it's not about sandwiches here. Yummy local dishes at very reasonable prices. When we were there on a Sat night, we were the only tourists around. The girl behind the counter seem to know everyone else by first name. Try their BBQ chciken, tender, moist and just the right amount of sweetness. We noticed the locals ordering fries and gave those a try.... thick ripple cut cooked to order, that was our favorite thing about this place, everything fresh and hot.
