Waimea Hospital

I took my wife over there today for an out patient procedure. You know you're in Hawaii when the nurse gives you both a hug on the way out the door.

The aloha spirit is alive and well at the Waimea hospital. I was pretty surprised how friendly the entire staff of the hospital was.

For example, we got there a few minutes before the admissions office opened and we were standing next to the door admiring some of the local art when a woman walking by said the person we were waiting for would be here any moment.

Then as my wife was getting prepped for her procedure all the nurses introduced themselves and we talked story while they were getting ready.

If you're a female and you need a doctor for womens issues. Dr. Lam at the Waimea Womens Center is who you call. After 7, yes 7 doctors in Kona, Dr. Lam fixed my wife. The first time. I swear I'm gonna buy Dr. Lam a Caddilac.
