Trouble in Paradise with a Monk Seal

This is a painting by artist Sunny Seal about an incident with an endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal which hauled out onto someones beach towel.This female pup looks so comfortable, but should not be trying to interact with people so much. They try to feed her things she shouldn't eat. Swimming with her is also looking for trouble as she can bite, hold people underwater and will be getting up to 500-600 pounds when full grown. So if you are ever lucky enough to see a Monk Seal please keep your distance and your interactions to a minimum for their health and yours.
