It’s about 11 AM here today, and the weather is perfect. Believe it or not, that is not always the case in Kona. It’s about 78°, sunny blue sky, and a few white puffy clouds. At 6:30 this morning I heard a whale slapping its tail and looked out the window and saw it in Kailua Bay. Today is the second day in a row that I’ve seen a whale here. Yesterday I saw two of them. Highly unusual for December. Usually, they don’t show up until January. But other whales have been spotted along to Kona Coast for the last few weeks from what I’ve heard. The Carnival Miracle is visiting Kona today. Other noteworthy events this past week.
- The young man accused of raping the woman at the old airport is going to be tried as an adult. If he is convicted, he’s going to get done to him what he did to her. Read more about it at West Hawaii Today.
- A tour helicopter saved two fishermen from certain death. You can read the story and how it relates to a book I’ve recently completed by clicking here.
- Last night was the Christmas parade. As usual, I wait for the floats to pass by the house instead of actually going to the parade.
