Ginger and Steve stopped by

Steve came over to our house on Thursday to pick up his towel bars that he made. Eila took some photos of them for him. I don't have any pictures of them but I do have a photo of a raised brass address with copper leafs that he made.

Steves address sign

I'm not sure of all the processes involved but I think most if not all the stuff he creates out of various metals is all powder coated. Which means the finish will practically last forever.
Steve is quite talented in this area and I hope to add a page to my website showing some other work of his soon.
Yesterday afternoon Ginger stopped by with papers to sign for our home refinance.

Ginger

I love Ginger, no excuses, she just get's it done. here's a link to her site. The thing you got to understand about Kona is the population tends to turn over on a regular basis. There is a core group of folks who are born and raised here, they are called "locals" or "kama'aina" the difference being that "locals" have Hawaiian blood to a certain degree and kama'ainas although being born here do not have any Hawaiian blood. And then there are malahinis (people who moved here) like me.

The thing is, a lot of malahinis move here for a year or two and then move back to the mainland for various reasons. Hawaii for the long term is not for every body.
My point is that you have to be careful about who you do business with here. The population is very transient. Both Steve and Ginger have been here over 8 years so I don't see them leaving in the middle of the night and hanging me out to dry. Or "you" for that matter.
Till next time...
