Seen my first Chameleon today.

by Joe
(Kona )

I've lived in Kona over 10 years and never seen a Chameleon till today.

Eila and I were invited up to Matt and Mary Lovein's to see the Chameleons. Simply amazing. Chameleons live at the higher elevations and I always lived close to the ocean so I've never crossed paths with a Chameleon until today.

While we were there Mary gave us a tour of their studios where they create their art. Wow is all I can say about that since this is about the Chameleons.

We had a great time and were very appreciative for the invitation.

Check out these photos Mary took while we were there.

seen my 1st chameleon today
by: Melba Boyd

Wonderfully clear close ups of a creature that is rarely seen by those of us who live here and the multitudes that visit our island.
These are great natural shots of a variety of members of the Lovein's chameleon clans. I love seeing them in all sizes and variety of colors and poses.
It is great to view the photos because the chameleons are sooooo! hard to find on your own.

Yes Karin, we saw the book
by: Joe

Mary showed us her only copy. The photos in it are gorgeous. For folks reading this in other parts of the world, make sure to get your own copy of Mary's book when it comes out in February. It's the next best thing to being here.
Go here for more info about Mary's book.

Mary Has the Darndest Pets, Doesn't She?
by: Karin Novak-Neal

Matt and Mary Lovein have the darndest pets, don't they? Have you had an opportunity to see her beautiful book yet?

chameleons in the garden

Faith, you have my personal phone number.
I have promised you for a long time. Thanks for buying one of the few author's proof copies of Chameleons in the Garden. It will be available for sale in February. I can hardly wait. I only have one copy, just like the one you have. These are digitally printed in rgb proofs, so the offset printing in cmyk will be a big difference in quality. Thanks for your support of my work with Jackson's chameleons, wild in Hawaii.

The Lovein's Chameleons
by: Faith May

Wow! I am blown away. These pictures are the best ones I've seen of the chameleons, including the ones in Mary's recent book "Chameleons in the Garden." I have been putting a visit to Mary and Matt's off waiting for a friend who wanted to accompany me but now I am so jealous I will go by myself! Just great, great pictures.
Mary, I think it is time to think about going into the Jackson Chameleon garden tour business!
Joe, it would appear that those chameleons really put on a show for you, you lucky guy!
