Kona Commons

While Kona Commons was under construction Makala Blvd. was closed for a few months, it was reopened yesterday.

Signs are up for Office Max and Sports Authority, I took a drive by yesterday and the only thing I'm wondering about is Circuit City, in the map above it says they will open in November.

I doubt it. Unless I'm mistaken their walls aren't even up yet. But overall the project looks like it's on schedule.

Man was watched kona grow all my life. i was born and raised here in kailua-kona. i watched kmart and walmart open and liberty house now called macys open up too. now it will be tough for kmart and walmart to handle the new stores best of all target. kmart will be struck hard. but its better that we have new store i love it. so aloha and mahalo kona commons for your loyalty to the kona community.

I like Best Buy too. I thought it was kinda odd that Circuit City would open a store here in their current financial condition.

Best Buy would be better

Aloha, I would really rather have Best Buy. They are a much better store and in better financial health than Circuit City. Best Buy already advertises in the Sunday Honolulu Advertiser sold here on the Big Island.
