I forgot to answer about the format I use.

Mini DV is the format. Eventually I'll upgrade to HD.

What program do you use to edit your video?
Also what camera and format?
Thank you,
m

Hi Mary,

All my videos since January have been shot with a Sony PD170. Here's a video I just found showing it. It's about 3K well equipped.

I just bought a little video camera called the "Flip" that I love! It shoots excellent quality video, doesn't use tapes, you just plug it into your computers usb port and it has automatic software that is almost idiot proof for uploading to Youtube. I bought the upgraded model from Walmart.com for 165? delivered. The Konafriends garden video was shot with it.

The software I used to edit the parade is Apple's Final Cut Pro HD. $299

I like windows movie maker and comes installed free on most computers. Most of my videos were edited using it. I'm just learning to use the Apple software. It has a lot of features that moviemaker doesn't. For anyone just getting started, use Windows movie maker and then move up.

You will see more and more video here in the future. I'm building another site that video will be a major portion of the site and the more video's I shoot the better I get.

Nice documentary, Joe. Good angle showing the water as the parade went by.
