Big Island Outlet Store

Google

Behind the marlin is the entrance to The Big Island Outlet Store.

I’m almost afraid to admit I don’t know much about Blue Marlins,
But I’d guess the one in the photo is what is called a “Grander” which
means a fish this size weighs over 1,000 pounds. Kona is “the” place to fish for Marlins from what I’m told. Like I said, I don’t know much about fishing.

Ok, where was I? or yeah, that’s right the Outlet store.

Ok, so it’s not the greatest picture I've ever taken.

But the marlin is pretty cool.

They offer all kinds of things made by local people, T-shirts, crafts, art work, Hawaiian music and many other things. The prices are actually pretty reasonable.

I found this guy hanging out in the lobby.

Kona Pirate

The hotel also has a small art gallery, massage therapist, ABC gift shop, and a beach apparel shop.

Just down the hall is the hotels restaurant. Sunday Brunch is very good I've had it there many times over the years.
