Most folks don't realize the Big Island is the size of the state of Rhode Island. Planning is important if you want to get the most out of your visit to the Orchid Isle. We're here to help.

Below is the itinerary of our 5 day driving/walking tour. We spend 1 night in Hilo and 1 night in Volcano. This is the most efficient way to see a majority of the island in our opinion.

Highlights of some of the must see spots!

Day 1

Walking tour through Kailua Village
We'll Drive down Alii Dr. to Kahaluu Snorkel Beach
Drive south through Coffee country to Place of Refuge with walking tour

Day 2
Honokohau National Park - showing boat shed, Alii fishpond, long beach

Head north to Pololu Valley noting A-Bay along the way. Hawi then over the hill to
Waimea stopping in at Parker Ranch. Back to Kona

Day 3
Drive to Waipio Valley lookout from Kona
On to Hilo stopping at Akaka Falls & Rainbow Falls
4 Mile Scenic Drive
Spend night in Hilo

Day 4
In Hilo See awesome botanical park
Then on to Volcanos National Park
Spend night at Volcano House

Day 5
Volcanoes National Park
Stop at Green Sands Beach
Return to Kona
