July 7, 2007 2:46 pm - Lynx ComesTo Kona
Today the Lynx returned to Kona. I had been keeping an eye out all day for the ship when I spotted her about a mile south of our home around 2 PM.

It was about that time the webcam decided to drop off the internet. This has only happened once with this camera, so I had a good idea what to do to fix it. Took about 10 minutes. For the next hour I tracked the Lynx has she sailed past our house on her way towards Kailua Bay.
During this coming week you can tour or even sail on the Lynx. She will be at the the Kailua pier. The schedule is as follows:
July 9 - 14,
Dockside Tours 10 – 12 noon
Adventure sails 1 - 4 pm
Sunset Sails 5pm - 8pm
If you want to go sailing you better call and reserve your spot. The number is: 866-446-5969
Last but not least, If you look at the Konafriends banner at the top you will notice the ship to the right of the Konafriends.com, that's a photo I took of the Lynx last year. The photo is untouched, that is exactly how the sky looked that evening.
Keep an on eye on the webcam during this coming week to follow the Lynx as she sails off the Kona coast.

July 15, 2007 2:45 am - Speilberg, Lucus and Harrison Ford
In yesterdays West Hawaii Today newspaper there was a story about a news conference over in Hilo about the filming of the next Indiana Jones movie starring Harrison Ford.
They said about 20% of the movie was being filmed here. They're shooting over on the Hamakua side of the island. The article in West Hawaii Today also said;
Spielberg and Lucas arrived in Hilo last week, and Marshall reported Friday that Ford and some of the film's other stars, including John Hurt, Cate Blanchett and Shia LeBeouf, have also arrived on Big Island for the planned three-week shoot expected to wrap up between July 21 and July 24.
So if you're at the beach one day and you thought you just seen Harrison Ford, you just may have! I'm hoping for Cate Blanchett myself. You can read the complete story here: West Hawaii Today story about Indiana Jones Movie being filmed here on the Big Island You'll probably have to fill out some form to gain access to the story.
