Today is the start of the canoe racing season. (Saturday May 26) you may see canoe racing on the webcam if you point it torward Kailua Bay. Races last till 5PM today.
Where you see red flags floating in the bay are markers for the course. So keep an eye out for the big canoes, you can't miss them.

In Saturdays classified section of West Hawaii Today there is a single column half page ad touting a MLM business opportunity, what's unusual, is this ones targeted at local business owners.
I'm always on the lookout for different income streams so I decided to check it out. Integrity Wellness Group is the one who placed the ad and they sell products for a company called Wellness International Network.
The advertisement said you could make good money and they would be interviewing at the Hilton this coming Tuesday and if you wanted to apply you need to email them to get an appointment. So I thought I'd check'em out online and started with Wellness International's website (winltd.com).
I went to winltd.com and the CEO's name is Ralph Oates. I plugged his name into Google and I found this: a huge red flag about Wellness International Network.
After reading that, there's not a snowball's chance in hell that I would have anything to do with that company. Just remember this; "Nobody ever went broke saying no" said Harvey McKay in his book "Swimming With The Sharks"

May 26, 2007 7:39 pm - Free Polynesian Show Ending
I've heard from a couple of people that the free Polynesian hula show at the Keauhou Shopping Center is coming to an end in June.
I emailed the shopping center management asking if this is true and haven't received a response. I hope my sources are wrong, but I doubt it. Too bad, it was a great show.
Guess I better get to work on updating the free things to do page here at Konafriends.com
